Today I added a few more names of the local musicians to our links. Sometimes we don't realize how many great of them we have in our town. We should appreciate and support them. Please, have a time to check their web-sites and attend their live performances Links

American Lindy Hop Championships

Dated:11/02/07

After winning Cat?s Corner last summer, Stan and I qualified for the American Lindy Hop Championships in Connecticut. We took 6th place there last weekend in the American Showcase Division but made a killing in the Pro/Am division. We were lucky enough to dance with Ben and Sheri Yau from California. Stan took second place dancing with Sheri to ?Gang Busters? by Cats & The Fiddle and I took 1st with Ben ripping it up to Sidney Bechet?s ?Blues my naughty sweetie gives to me?.

It was great seeing all our friends and social dancing until we were too tired to move! We had a lot of fun getting the east coast experience along with meeting Frankie Manning! ( see photo here ) We will be doing a demo of our competition number this weekend at Sving du Nord if you want to come on out and watch. Thanks again to Ben and Sheri for helping us make a memorable weekend!
